But the boards weren't cracking because they were old, they were being cut by trolls. Trolls are rising from beneath the bridge. One nearly grabs my foot, but I slice of it's hand just in time with the blade. I stab another two trolls in the heart a split second after. The board beneath Laila snaps, she starts descending through sky and lands in the grasp of a troll. I lean in between to boards and swing the blade vigorously , but just miss the troll's face. She is slightly too far below. I started sprinting, it was the only way to save Laila. If I can be fast enough, I can reach the end of the bridge and get under it instead. I heard grumbles behind me saying things like "Blade, blade wheres the blade?" Another voice said "She doesn't have the blade!" "Get the runner!" At this moment I increase my pace, I hear the heavy footsteps stamping a bit behind me. I reach the end of the bridge, realizing with despair that I don't have enough time to achieve my plan. Quickly I see a nook to fit in. I waited there for hours as the trolls pass. Finally, I leave my hiding place. When I come out, Laila is gone. If she is being held captive somewhere I could still save her. I start wandering around Troll Territory. It didn't take long before I heard the screams in the distance. I slowly approach a large cave, hiding behind bushes. The worst that could happen is I get caught too. I'm now at an angle that I can see inside the cave, but stay hidden. There is Laila, dangling above a pit of lava. I hear the trolls torturing her for information on the tree. She wouldn't say anything? Would she? Everyone knows only blood-souls can know about the tree. Then I see something devasting that will haunt me for the rest of my life, they slice off both of her feet, then her thighs. Then something happens that shocks me. Laila says "The-the tree is 6 miles from here." Oh no. But this wasn't enough for the trolls. They need details. So they cut open what's left of her torso. Her guts are spilling into the lava. Now she has no reason to live so I pray she won't say anything else. Now they stab her directly in the heart. Last but not least they slice of her hands so she falls in the pit. I watch my first friends body disintegrate before my eyes.

Chapter 6: The Bridge Of Twists and Traps
Alazar shook violently and crumpled to the ground. He was now unconscious and incredibly injured, but not dead. I take the persipian blade from his cloak and proceed toward Laila. "Nice plan, couldn't have done better myself.", said Laila, "By the way, you left the antler". "The persipian blade is all I need to defend myself.", I said with confidence. "No need to be so cocky", said Laila. "C'mon we better get moving". We walked until morning. The only thing guiding us was our laser vision eyes. We finally approach a bridge full of twists and traps at dawn. It leads to the troll territory. "Kay, get ready to use the blade", Laila said. "Of course, but first we need to get across this bridge.", I said sincerely. But I spoke too soon. Suddenly a giant log swings down hanging from ropes, nearly smoking Laila and I in the heads. With our blood-soul reflexes, we were able to duck fast enough. But the nature didn't stop there. Vines grew up from the ground, wrapping around Laila's stomach. I quickly take the blade and slice Laila free. Slowly we approach forward, waiting cautiously for the next obstacle. But this time we couldn't see it. A insanely high pitched noise echoed through the valley. I was paralyzed by the sound, frozen on the spot. Somehow Laila wasn't as effected by the sound. I feel something being shoved into my ears. Earplugs. Laila came prepared. I do remember her telling me that she's traveled in this area before. This must be the reason she brought the ear plugs. We continue down the bridge. We've been walking for quite some time with no traps. Then, a crack. The boards beneath us were snapping.

CHAPTER 5: Alazar's Deal
"Thanks", I said, "Can we have it???", I reply sarcastically. "Well, where's my payment?!", he asked in a snarl of a voice. "Oh, of course, what would you like?", said Laila in a slightly too cheery voice. "I demand to transfer powers with your friend.", he said in an expressionless voice. WHAT?! I'm thinking inside.. but I use my control to keep calm. "Uhm, well let us discuss it for a minute.", I said pulling Laila aside. "So I'm hoping you can tell me what this freak is talking about?!", I say in shock. "He wants to suck your blood. When he does this, he takes your powers", Laila replies. Okay.. No way I'm doing that, but suddenly a plan comes to mind. Laila stares at me in worry, but I have confidence in my plan. I slowly approached Alazar. I was taking deep breaths to prepare for what I was about to do. He approaches me with a greedy smile on his face, what a creep! I can feel his breath on my neck now, about to sink his teeth into my neck. When suddenly I stab him in the stomach with my antler.

Chapter 4: A Detour
Thanks for reading! Keep checking the site, chapter 5 will be soon!
"It's the death warriors, they've been following me, they're trying to find the tree.", she explained. "But only blood-souls can find the tree! We need to get away from here immediately, but first we need to get something to drink. Let's go, I smell prey about a mile from here." So we leave the underground and proceed through a sorrow forest. The shadows of the willow trees deliver a gloomy environment. It was nearly 3AM and the sky was as dark as my raven black hair. "Stop.", Laila says, "A moose is near." And then she disappeared. A second later I heard a loud groan in the distance. "Come over here!", Laila yelled " He's so delectable." We gathered around the moose slurping ferociously in enjoyment. Lots of energy was needed for the long journey ahead of us. Laila pulled off the moose's antler and sharpened it on her dagger. "Here take this", she told me. "Gory beasts lie ahead, always be armed." We start to slickly glide through the forest with the blood-soul 's silent but speedy pace. My enhanced senses told me Laila could be keeping something from me. When we reach the slimy saloon, she comes to a halt. "What's the matter?", I ask. "We're supposed to meet someone here, he's delivering me something special to help with the journey.”, she replies without hesitation. "Why didn't you tell me before?", I asked suspiciously. "Well, we had to take a 2 hour detour to get here, now were even later getting to the tree. I figured you wouldn't come if I told you." "You got that right, I thought I could trust you!", I exclaimed. " Well he's bringing us the persipan blade, necessary to beat the trolls on the way", she proclaims, "You should be thanking me. Without this blade we would've died getting there." "Don't be so sure..", I said under my breath. Suddenly footsteps behind us. "He's here.", Laila says. Except it wasn't him. A giant boar with bloody drool escaping from the corners of his mouth, lunges out from the bushes behind us. We both dash backwards, stunned and hopeless against this gigantic beast. Before we could think farther, an arrow stabbed through the back of the troll. "I just saved your guts", a deep voice says from behind the falling beast. "Who are you?", I find myself asking. "My name is Alazar", a cloaked figure says, "I have brought you the persipian blade."

Chapter 3: Laila, and possibly others.
Chapter 4 coming incredibly soon!
My wound was instantly healed, a power of the blood-souls. "Thanks", I said quizzically. "So your headed to the tree?", she replies, "Because lucky for you I happen to be heading there to. You look like you may need some help. But only if you're willing to forgive for stabbing you." , she said sarcastically. "Okay..", I said considering her offer, I really don't know where I'm going, so she could be helpful to being along."Why are you going there anyway?", I say questionably, I still need to gain one last piece of her trust. She smiled slightly and said, "I'm meeting someone. My boyfriend, his name is Chad." "Well, I suppose we could travel together. Two is better than one anyway I suppose.", I reply uncertainly. "Great, we better get moving then. Anyway I'm Laila.", she said with her arm outstretched. I return a firm hand shake, "Nice to meet you", I say. " So which way is the tree from here? I got kinda lost after falling through the hole back there." “What are you talking about, what hole?", she said with worry. "The trap door you set up like 20 meters from here.", I reply. "I didn't set up a trap... They're coming."
Chapter 4 coming incredibly soon!

The Unwanted: Chapter 2
Enjoy!
Chapter 2: A Girl Like Me
As I walked in the silence of the night, a cold chill went down my back. I was getting closer. I felt a pang of relief, because I thought I was being watched. Then I realized it was a black cat lurking in the darkness, I've reached a new town, about 10 days away from the tree. Or at least, that's what I thought. Suddenly I fall through a trap door into darkness. I could feel the shadows swallowing me up, and I thought, "Okay, a little detour here." I roll my eyes, now I have no idea which direction I'm headed.

I can see a dim light in the distance and I start to approach it. All I can smell is cloves and rosemary, what an odd combination. This is the smell of blood-souls. I must be close to one of my kind. That's when I see her. A girl with blood red lips, smokey eyes and bleach blonde hair. Definitely someone like me. She looked out of place, a beautiful girl with a sharp dagger. I jump behind a rock to hide, but my footsteps echo through the tunnel. "Who goes there?" , she asks, "This is a blood-soul territory." While staying hidden in the shadows I reply, "I'm a blood-soul too". Out of the corner of my eye I see the girl approaching my hiding place. I blink, and suddenly she's next to me. I wail in pain as her dagger stabs into my left thigh.
"That's a lie!", she exclaims, "Why are you here and what do you want?!", she roared. Trying to stay standing, I stammer, "I-I'm on my way to the tree of glory, I told you, I'm a blood-soul." "Then why don't you have the scent?", she questions with her knife at the ready. " A monster darkened my soul, it fades the scent. This is the reason I'm headed for the tree, to regain my soul." I felt her grasp on my shoulder lighten slightly. "Well, then let me clean up your wound.", she said. She bent down and observed my wound. Then her mouth locked on it and collected the leftover blood.
The Unwanted: Chapter 1 A Dead Soul

There once was a land full of miraculous events and supernatural creatures, this land is where I grew up. I used to thrive for a normal life but when I first tasted blood, I changed my mind. Blood is something you'll lust for from the first moment you first taste it. It's what keeps us as live. The blood-souls. How could you not want something so alluring and pure? Although there is one thing I will always want more, to reach the tree of glory. Small pieces of my soul disintegrate as I speak, from my curse. It is slowly but surely killing me. But one day I shall be freed from my curse, with the help of the tree.
On my 13th birthday, the monster put this incredible haunting upon me. I am now 16, obviously finding the tree has been more difficult than expected. Although I can feel I'm getting closer to reaching my destiny. The monster swallowed the life and pleasure in me and left me like a marionette. Hanging by a thread until I finally reach the tree. Until my course turned upside down. Yesterday the monster returned to me once again, offering me a deal. The deal was to quit my quest to the tree and he'll return my soul. But if I continue to pursue the tree he will take away my will to love. This makes me curious to why he does not want me to reach the tree. So I decide to continue my quest and trade my will to love. Fore, no one would ever love a blood-soul.
Blood Soul 101:
I was born a blood-soul, it runs in my genes. My mother was a blood-soul, never met my father. No siblings. Unfortunately the monster took my mother's life when I was only two. I have learned to strive alone ever since. One day, I would to meet my father... confront him for leaving my mother alone.
As a blood-soul, drinking blood keep us alive. But don't be fooled, we are no vampire. No fangs or all that crazy bs about coming out at night! We suck blood and have paranormal speed and sight.. besides that we are a normal human being. Nobody knows about us, we live in our own land of sorcerers, blood-souls, trolls, elves and other mystical creatures. The land of Pentravon.
